Our Founder

Born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica, and now residing in NYC, Abby has long been dismayed by how trauma often presents as socioeconomic disparities that plague Black and Brown people worldwide. Driven to leave a positive impact on the world, she has spent the last 5 years exploring solutions meant to break through the systems of institutional oppression.

Resourceful and savvy, she sought to uncover with her community and peers some of the issues that limit our mobility toward collective progress and, therefore, diminish the power of our shared social capital. In response, Abby founded Chanzo in late 2022. Her passion for her people inspired building a space that hosts luxury retreats and educational workshops to explore how we might live better together and unlock our shared prosperity. By creating a “home” that addresses these two issues, Abby believes that Chanzo will help reshape the African Diaspora's narrative and, most important, our future outcomes.
